Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

How do I get my name off a mortagage

My ex-wife is currently living in a home that is still in both of our names. As she is constantly delinquent in her payments, my credit rating continues to suffer. Our divorce decree states that she was to have sold this home over two years ago, but having had the home she was living in at the time (which was also still in both of our names)foreclosed on and sold in a sherrif's sale, she was forced to evict the renters who were in the current home so that she could live there. It seems inevitable now that she will also allow this home to go into foreclosure. Our divorce decree does not address this issue nor does it require me to pay for a home for her and the children. I'd like to have my name removed from the title and mortgage of this house. What are my options?

Based on the informnation presented, you can seek a contempt citation against her for violating the divorce decree. The court may require her to place the home for sale.
