Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

my mother passed away this week and her children have cared for her for the past 4 years without pay, we do have a stepfather who is very controlling and will not allow the children to have any of our mothers assets do we her children have any legal rights to any of our mothers assets.

If there is a will, that is controlling. If no will you are entitled to some assets. You need to contact an attorney asap and have a personal representative appointed. Good luck.
