Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Motion to dismiss

I have filed a motion to dismiss a divorce for the state of Indiana. I was sent a letter to appear in court on June 1st. I reside in NM and due to an illness I am unable to travel. what happens when I do not show up for the hearing? I sent a letter to the Judge making him aware that I would not be able to travel but I was told that I still had to be there. What happens now?

Re: Motion to dismiss

If you do not appear, your motion may be stricken.

You may want to hire an attorney to represent you in Indiana if you do not wish to have your Motion stricken.
