Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
Moving Child Out of State
Hello;
My question is: In Indiana, can the mother and child move to a different state without the fathers permission if the mother has full custody of the child? Even though the father does have visitation rights and pays his support on time.
Thank you for your time.

Re: Moving Child Out of State
If the custodial parent is moving more than 100 miles away, he or she must notify the noncustodial parent and the court. If the noncustodial parent protests, them the custodial parent must go to a hearing and show the court why the move is in the best interests of the children.
Hope this helps answer your questions.
