Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Moving out of state with underage child

Does the father of the child have the right to stop me from taking our child to another state to live? We are not married, I do receive child support from his social security check

Re: Moving out of state with underage child

You must give him notice pursuant to statute. If he files an objection, there will be a hearing to determine whether it is in the childs best interest to move, and if so, what the new parenting time will be and how the transportation costs will be allocated.

You need to hire an Indiana attorney as soon as possible.
