Newspaper divorce

Can you file for a divorce in Indiana through the classifieds stating you arae no longer liable for any debt other than your own from this day forward. If so what is the proceedure?

Such a procedure will not result in a dissolution of marriage. Such a procedure will not result in a division of marital obligations, nor will it result in a family creditor coming after you for "necessary" services for a spouse or child which is incurred subsequent to your notice. The procedure you refer to is antiquated and was replaced at least by the adoption of the current "no fault" dissolution procedures in the 1970's, if it was not treated as no longer applicable prior to that time.
