NonCustodial Parent Ignores Court Order

Our daughter is sick and needs to go to the doctor. The court order says we both must have insurance if our employers provide it, otherwise if there is no insurance we split the bill 49/51 after I pay the first 470. I do not have insurance on her, but he does. He is refusing to give me the information so I can take her to the doctor. He thinks that since I don't have insurance I can't use his and have to pay the whole amount. He won't budge and his lawyer will not explain to him that he has to do this. How can I get this information without having to go through a ridiculous court battle? My daughter needs to go to the dr now.

Why dont you try contacting his employer's benefits department and stay focused on getting the insurance information only. The employer is not going to want to hear about other things, just that there is a court order and he is supposed to provide insurance. Have the order ready in case they need a copy. This may or may not work, some emplpoyers will provide the information, others will not. If this one wont, you will have no choice but to take him to court. Good luck.
