Non-custodial parent puts children in danger
I was just wondering what other types of options I have to ensure the safety of my children when they are in the care of their father who is an alcohlic and drinks to the point of passing out while they are in his care. He also drinks and drives with them to the point that the children are scared. I had no proof of this until this past weekend when he went on one of drunk rages with them and had them crying and upset. He was throwing things and slamming doors etc. after he had just driven them home in that condition. He called me and said he was done to come and get them. I took this as an opportunity to call the police to go there and take the girls outside and wait on me being as I live 25 miles from him. The police then done a breathalizer on him which showed his BAC as .49. Being as they did not catch him driving they could not do anything. I do not want to come between the children and him, but I have been worried for their safety for a long time and now I finally have some proof. I do not want the children to feel they are getting him in trouble either as he does put on a ''feel sorry for me'' act to them. He tells them not to tell me because I will get him in trouble, not to mention the name calling. Now they are scared to go

You should be able to modify the visitation if you present this evidence to a judge.
