Obtaing full custody

My wife has joint custody of her 3yr old son. As if she still lived in Indiana now she lives in Alabama and she is trying to find out what state she needs the attorney in to obtain joint 6mths/6mths and then full custody? The custody was done in Indiana.

You will have to go back to the Indiana court, so you will need an Indiana attorney.

The reason for that is to keep people from "forum shopping" -- or looking for a state that they like better and then relitigating issues there.
