Parent First Right

My exhusband and I have joint physical and legal custody. He is currently taking night classes and is leaving my son with his girlfriend. I would like to have to opportunity to have him during this time. Can you please explain how parents first rights works? Thank you.

You can look in the Parenting Time Guidelines available at the Indiana Judiciary Web Site for specifics. However, the general rule is that he can leave your son with a member of his household. If not a household member, he is supposed to contact you to give you an aopportunity for additional parenting time.
