Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
parents rights
I recently found out I was pregnant. My boyfriend decided he does not want to take any responsibility. I don't know if I should try and make him help pay the medical bills and child support when the time comes. If I make him pay support or for medical bills what right will he have to our child down the road if he decides he does want to see it? What if he doesnt see it for several years? Will he still have rights to our child at anytime he decides?

Re: parents rights
He can decide to seek his rights at anytime. What rights are recognized by the court will be based on what the court considers to be in the best interest of your child.
You should file for paternity at the earliest opportunity so that you can get reimbursed for medical expenses and establish child support as soon as possible. Your child is going to need that assistance. Good luck
