Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
perternity testing
My boyfriend dated a girl for less then 1 mth, she became pregnat and let him believe it was his. 2 mths later she left him and went back to the father of her 2 children. He signed the peternity papers and gave the baby his name. They have since gotten married. The baby is now 8 mths old.She is a loose cannon and will do anything for money. Can she legally come to my boyfriend later and say she was wrong and the baby is his?
Thank you for any reisurance you can give.

Re: perternity testing
You say "he" signed the paternity papers. I don't know if you're referring to your boyfriend or HER ex who she went back to. Can you enlighten me on that?
I'm going to assume, for the sake of discussion, that the other woman's partner is the one who signed the papers and stated that the child was his.
First, I suppose she COULD come after your boyfriend later and state that the child was his, but that would have to be proven with a blood test. And it's doubtful she would be able to get "back" child support under those circumstances. If her husband leaves her, it's going to be his responsibility to pay child support, unless there's some action to prove that the baby is actually your boyfriend's down the road and she goes to court, trying to get support from him. If she has agreed that the child is from her now-husband, she's going to look like a liar if she goes back later and says it's not.
A question that I have for you is: Does he think the baby is his? And if so, does your boyfriend WANT to be involved in the baby's life? If he does, he needs to fight for that right as soon as possible.
