Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
I just picked up a summons from my husband that states that I am being sued by him. We are not living together - as there has been domestice viiolence in the house. The summons was signed by a Clerk and dated, however the complaint was not included with it. What can I do and why would it not be included?
Second question, although he feels bad, he minimizes what happens when this has occurred before. I have and order of protection granted to me by a judge and I know he feels like I am wrong in doing that. I feel that he is going to misinterpret the items that happened that night so he does not spend time in jail - as the police charged him with two class D felonies. One for not letting me leave the house and two not letting me use the phones, class A misdamenor for hurting me in front of the children. I have a consultation with a lawyer tomorrow, however I would like to gather as much information that I can. So any advice in this area is appreciated. Thanks!!!

The petition should have been included. Stop at the courthouse and get a copy before you see counsel.
