Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Post Divorce alleged debt

My ex-wife is claiming I owe her over $20,000. She claims she paid bills and wants her money back. I paid her $10000 as fulfillment to a Oral agreement that was made and when the check was written I have to wittnesses that she told our Alleged debt was clear. I have never agreed to any of these amounts and they are amounts that have never been brought to my attenion. Is she owed this money without any kind of written agreement and having a previous oral agreement fulfilled?
