Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

prenuptual agreement

We are getting married. We plan to have a prenup as he has assets and I don't. Can't we write this out ourselves and have it notarized, instead of paying a lawyer to do this? Wouldn't it be a contract and hold up in a court as long as everything is written out and I am in full agreement? Thank you.
