property settlement
My husband and I are getting divorced. He is giving me some money that i agree will come off the amount we agreed upon about property settlement. Is the paper legal if a notary signs it? or do we have to have it filed at the courthouse?

Your question is unclear. Also, if you have counsel you should talk with im or her as they have the most knowledge about your case and what is appropriate.
