Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
Property/Child Support
I have been married for 4 years. We have nothing in our names together. I want to buy a home this summer in my name only, and my credit is good, with no attachment to my husband. However, he owes child support. Is there any way my home could have a lien put on it because of HIS problems? If so, what should I do?

Based on the information provided, you should be o.k. However, if you have a concern for after your die, you need to have a will drafted giving the home to someone other than your husband. You can provide for him to live in the home, but not own it. Yoiu should consult an attorney if you have concerns about your estate being attached.
