Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
Protective/No-Contact Orders
My fiance and I have been together for 13 years. He has a 14 year old son with another woman. She is married to a man with a questionable background. Yesterday he called our home 5 times threatening my fiance. Because my fiance is a firefighter and cannot afford to lose his temper I answered 3 of the 5 times. The stress of it all caused me to have a debilitating migraine all night that even my prescription migraine medicine would not help. State police advised us to get a protective or no-contact order against him. My question is will it help in our case if my doctor attests that his constant harassment is causing my problems?

Re: Protective/No-Contact Orders
You need to go to the Indiana Judicial Website and read up on the criteria for a p.o. Your problems unless listed in the criteria will have no effect on a p.o.l hearing.
Good luck
