Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
Questions on Divorce
I have several questions: 1. my fiance and his ex-wife signed the final paperwork at their different attorneys offices approximately how long does it take for the courts/judge to complete their end? 2. Is there a 30 day waiting period after the courts/judge signs the final paperwork? 3. If so, what is the 30 days for? 4. Can he change the locks on the doors now since they have both signed the final paperwork? And last, 5. He received the house and is in the process of refinancing it we are planning on moving in together by the end of the month, he told his ex-wife that he was getting a roommate she stated that there is an Indiana law stating that neither party can have someone of the opposite sex move in until their child reaches a certain age, is this correct?

Re: Questions on Divorce
You actually want to ask some questions about your boyfriend's divorce.
There is a 60 day period before a divorce can be final. It is called a cooling off period - to see if the people really want to get divorced.
The court will move as fast it can but no idea how long it will take them to sign off on a decree after the 60 days.
Ex-wife is wrong about Indiana law. If the agreement says different, then the agreement controls.
Since it sounds like boyfriend has an attorney, then boyfriend needs to talk to his attorney.
