Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

residency for name change of minor in Indiana

We have legal guardianship of my husband's sons. Their mother changed their names in Wyoming, without even their approval. Now they have one name on their birth certificate and another on their social security. The Judge states we have to file an office name change but will not tell us if their is a 2 year residency requirement for Indiana. It's $400 + filing fees, if we are too early, they have been with us since 08/2005 (we have been here since 2003. I cannot find a residency requirement in the statutes but want to make sure.

I would assume that your attorney would answer your question. I know of no residency requirement that would exceed two years.
