Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

restraining order

Is it possible to get a restraining order against a 18 year old from having contact with a 17 year old no matter what sex they are? Will a judge issue one just because the parents of the 17 year old want one?

Re: restraining order

Getting a temporary restraining order through the prosecutor's office is fairly easy. Getting it made permanent is pretty tough, unless there is some violence or threat of it.

Gender doesn't matter.

Hope this helps answer your questions.
