What are the rights of a grandparent in the state of indiana?

. In Indiana, the court can grant visitation rights to a grandparent if the court determines that visitation would be in the best interests of the grandchild. A grandparent may only be entitled to visitation if

The grandchild�s parent is dead, or

the marriage of the grandchild�s parents are divorced or

the child was born outside of marriage. However, if you are the father's parents, paternity has to be established.
