Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
what are my rights
I am a single a mother of 4, my ex-husband and I were divorced in OK. we both now live in different states. Do we have to go back to Ok to have our divorce decree revised? How do I go about getting his child support refigured? We can never agree on a date for him to return the kids in the summer, last summer he kept them 2 weeks past the date we had agreed on. How do I prevent this from happening again? Please help! Thank you

Re: what are my rights
Yes, unfortunately, you are going to have to go back to the court of original jurisdiction for any future actions on the case UNLESS you and your ex can agree on a different jurisdiction and you can get the old court and the new court to agree to it, too.
To get a new support calculation, you have to ask the court for a child support modification hearing.
To enforce visitation, payment of support or handle other problems, you can ask for a contempt hearing.
Hope this helps!
