Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

I am separated from my husband and he has been watching are two children. The other day when I picked the children up he was drunk. There was even a beer can in the car when I got the car seats out. Then on another occasion I showed up and the front door was open, my ex was asleep and our two children were destroying the house. He had clearly been asleep for awhile. I had to wake him to unlock his car to get the car seats out of his car. Then the children and I left. I just don't know what to do about this, I am truly worried for the children's safety

Either talk to him about is so he gets the message, or refuse to let him see his children until he gets help (not just PROMISES to get help) and treatment.
