Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Seperation house being built by my husbands business

My husband and I are seperated because of domestic abuse from him. He owns a home building business and is building our new home. We sold or other home and the kids and I are living in a very small place and most of my items are in storage. He wants to sell the house and if I want to purchase it he has put a very high price tag on it. He is only willing to give me 1/2 of the money we put into it. The profit of the sale of the house would belong to his business. He also informed me that if we divorce I do not have rights to his business since he started it before we were married. What options do I have for the house we are building - can he be required to sell it to me at the price we were to purchase it? If it sold would I be entitled to part of the profit. Can I keep him from selling the house. If we divorce, would a portion of his business go to me. It is an LLC.

You need to hire an attorney and not rely on this type of forum as your issues are too complex. However, I will tell you that absent a written prenuptual agreement, your husband is wrong concerning the business.
