Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

my ex and i have been sharing custody of our son, and now he says that if i don't kick my new boyfriend out that he is not going to give our son back to me on the agreed schedule that we came up with. we have no custody order in effect, but he did leave the state with him, as he lives in illinoise and i live in indiana. i don't know how to handle the situation, because i do not want to negatively affect my son

Take your decree to an attorney . Right now your only choice is to give in to emotional blackmail, and that is generally not a good idea.
