Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

how can my son who is now 21 have his birth certificate amended to show that i am his father. He is also wanting to file to change his name as his mother gave him her maiden name we can't find out if this is two different petitions or what we need to do. thanks

He should do the brith certificate after the name change as other wise he will have to do that twice. The name change is by petition in your local court. The Birth Certificate can be amended by contacting the Indiana Department of Viatal Statistics and following their procedures.
