Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

I have a son born out of wedlock. My son's father and I have not gone through the courts to establish visitations, custody or anything; but he did sign his birth certificate. My baby's father chose to stay at his out of town college til he graduates in 2010. What are my rights to move out of state to live where I have greater opportunitites to provide a better life for my son and myself?

Legally, he is not the father and you can move as you please. However, you do know that he is the father and your child is entitled to have his father in his life and to receive child support. I suggest that you file for paternity and within that suit seek to move out of state. Based on what you have stated, I do not know of a court that would deny a move. This way yoiur child has a father and child support and you get to provide a better life and opportunity for yourself and son.
