Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

My son was dating a girl and she had a baby (11 years ago) they got married when the baby was 5 months old. He has been the boy's father ever since. Can his name be added to the birth certificate now? (there wasn't a father listed on the birth certificate).

Is he the biological father? If so, he needs to file a paternity case and offically be named the childs father. A name change for the boy can be part of the paternity decree. The decree should then be sent to Vital Records for a change of birth certificate. If he is not the biological father, he can adopt the child and have the name changed and his name added to the birth certificate.
