Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

my son father is asking for a modification, due to my son being in college now. my son is 18 and is attending college out of state, but still lives with me when he home on breaks etc. and his father is 27k in arrears. he has a lawyer do I need a lawyer to represent me in this case.
