Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

My son is getting sued for being the father of a six year old boy. He was 16 at the time. she was 19 and he says he does not believe he was with her at the time. We lived a couple streets over and we just moved why would this be brought up now and how can we defend him. he is very sick and has to have a tumor removed on his back. How can we get the cour dates moved legally be cause he cant travel for six weeks? If it is his child and know one told him how do we counter sue for his six lost years? please help us we don't have much money but we are trying to do what is right and moral.

He can request paternity tests to determine if he is the father. The court will usually postpone court hearing when it is shown that an illness exists justifying the delay, which would include proof from the doctor. Only your son or his attorney can do this; you can not do it for him.

I agree with Jay and also suggest that you hire local counsel.
