Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

My spouse and his ex-girlfriend had a verbal agreement that he wouldgive her credit for 10000.00 in child support if there was a no support or signed by both parties. My husband held up to his end of the deal but she did not ever sign the papers. So, now we are not only paying support we also have arreages from when the child was with us last year.I contacted the child support office and they said I would have to get a lawyer because I signed an affidative.Was just wondering if I had a chance of getting the credit reversed. due to her not fulfilling her end of the verbal agreement. Trust me I would not give her 10,000.00 credit and not get nothing in return.
