Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Is there any way in the state of Indiana for child's voice to be heard on the matter of who has custody of them other than a Guardian ad Litem? The kid's ages are 13 and 8 years old and their father only has visitation with them due to charges of child endangerment from a few years ago. He has no say in anything else involving them, only vistitation rights. I'm not sure how much room I am allowed to use for background on the situation so if more information is needed I will be happy to comply. Thanks for any information you can give.

Present a petition to the court as to why the children should be allowed to testify. Although there is nothing in the caselaw or statutes but it seems that the judiciary is very reluctant to involve a child in the litigation aspect of a custody battle. However, there is a provision that would allow for testimony in chambers and without the parents present.
