Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
The State of Indiana,c ounty of Vigo registered the child support order frm my divorvce in Florida. During this time the arrears have tripled to $20,000 dollars. My ex and his family have a friendly relationship with the judge. Last month the judge dismissed the case after decresing Florida order of $20,00 per week addional support to go twards arrears to $10.00 a week, despite the fact that he has been employed with CSX Railroad for 2 years and is makng better money than when residing in Florida. A wage garnishment ensures he pays the current amount plus the $10.00. Originally he was summoned to court to show cause why he is not in attempt of court in regards to the arrears. Now that the case was dismissed what does this mean for the kids and I ...what should I do...or what can I do? Thank you

I dont know why you would not have had the case transferred if there was a family relationship. I am guessing that what you had going was a Petition for Contempt and that the court dismissed that. I suggest that you contact the local IVD prosecutor who has the authority to intercept tax refunds among other things for a nominal fee of $25.
