Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Support for independant child

My husband is currently paying support to his ex for their 19yr old, who as of June 07 has not been living with her mother. The daughter lives in an apartment with her boyfriend, has a job working an average of 30hrs/week, and not enrolled in post-secondary education. His daughter has admitted to paying her own rent and bills yet he is still making support payments to his ex. Can he get child support stopped or his daughter emancipated? If she is emancipated, how does that effect her health insurance coverage, which my husband carries for her?

Re: Support for independant child

He can get the support stopped by a petition. He should ask his human rescources manager or insurance agent the insurance question as each policy can be different.
