Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

support

in 2002 my xwife sent my 17 yearold son to live with me stating she could not handle him and was afraid he was going to get it trouble costing her a lot of money. she told me she was going to get custody changed to me so that if he did it would be my problem and she did not want to pay me support.i told her if she did the legal part i would not ask for support cuz i was just happy to have my son live with me. he move out of state soon after he turned 18 with a friend and didnt finish school. in 2007 she came back on me saying i owe her support from 2002 till now and they are taking money out of my check enough that i havent been able to gather enough to get a lawer what if any thing can i do to stop this and retreive all the money she is stealing from me

Re: support

You need to get a lawyer as you can definately defend this. There is case law directly on point, if you can prove that he came to live with you. If you live in a differenct school district, school records from when he began to live with you would be very helpful.
