Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
My teenage daughter became pregnant by her boyfriend at age 14. She is now 15 and mother to my infant grandson. I recently discovered the boyfriend is not 16 as he presented himself, rather he is now 19. I have sole custody of my daughter and 7-year-old son. Pursuant to a court order, my children were sent to their father's for a visit over spring break (locally), along with my granson. My ex-husband apparently decided to leave town during the visit and returned my son home to me. However, he refuses to return my daughter and grandson. I fear that they may be with the boyfriend and that she may get pregnant again (since she cannot be on birth control so soon after her c-section). My ex-husband maintains that my custodial rights are void on "his time" and that he can place my daughter and grandson anywhere he chooses. Is this so? Is there any way I can get them to come home? And... is there anything I can do about this predator boyfriend?

If your ex is not present, then you have the right of first refusal regarding babysitting. Therefore, you have the right to have the children if he is out of town.
