Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
a temporary custody order was issued in a divorce case in sep 2007. This case was dismissed by the petitioner in 2008. Is the custody order still valid, because they are still using the order from that proceeding.

If the case was dismissed without a final order being entered, then the custody order would no longer apply. Show the order and the dismissal to a family law attorney in your community to confirm that what you are saying is accurate.

Jay is absolutely correct. Make sure that there is not a final order and that the case was dismissed!
