my things left in home - taken

I wrote to you last week about my rights to get my things out of my empty home that is about to be sold in a sheriff's sale. Well, my mother went to the home and took my things. She had her key. My ex reported to the police that he had been robbed. (read it in the newspaper) Is my mother in danger of being arrested for taking my things?
