Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

transffering custody

my step son has been living with my husband and i for 3 years now, but according to the divorce decree his ex-wife has custody. do we have to go to court and get this transffered? we don't have money to hire a lawyer. Is there any other way to make it legal?

You definately need to obtain a court order. It could cost you far more in the long run if you do not get this taken care of now.
