Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

he got the truck

in my divorce 2 years ago the x got the truck. the problem is the truck still has my name on it as co-owner. when he dropped my name from the insurnace i got my liscense suspended. he never told me and i got pulled over and got a ticket for a suspended and fined big time.. then i had to get sr-22 on a truck i do not have ownership of to get my liscence back in the state where i live now. now he is telling me there still is a balance due on the truck and i can not have my name removed. i bought a car 3 weeks ago and was told the balance on the truck was 0.00 no balance. in the divorce i have to sign the title over to him and i want to do it now and he won't saying there is a balance due on the truck from the bank. I got remarried 8 months ago and can't have my married name because i have to pay a fee to the state where my liscence used to be to get it reinstated. can i get my name off the truck now through his local dmv ???? because if he messes up the insurance again i will have to start paying that sr-22 again and i can not afford that. i need help getting my name off that truck now,,, how can i do it ???

If you had an attorney during your dissolution proceeding, I would recommend that you contact him with your question. You probably need to file a petition with the Court for clarification on the issue of the vehicle and/or get a certified copy of your decree to show to the State of Tennessee to prove you do not own the vehicle nor have any obligation thereon.
