Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Uncontested w/minor children

My spouse and I are trying to fill out the forms for a divorce and I am wanting to be sure we have all that we need. What forms have to be filed in Marion County? There is still friendship between us and the financial and child custody part has already been decided on. We are doing the forms through an online site but it feels like something is missing. Also, does anyone do free consults in person? It would be nice just to be sure we have everything. Thank you.

If you are using the forms at the Indiana Supreme Court, they are not for uncontested divorces. I suggest that you talk to an attorney. I do not recommend a DIY approach to divorce where there is children. I have an article on this here: http://haslerlaw2.blogspot.com/2007/02/indiana-uncontested-divorces.html

Go to the Indiana Judiciary Web Site for the forms. Also, go to the link at that site for the local rules of Marion County. You might try Legal Aid or the local Pro Bono program for a consult.
