Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
I had a verbal agreement with my ex, that if I helped with extra costs that she would not go after the adjusted support (a persentage of anything i made over a certain amount). Now that I am changing the suppport due to the kids being amancipated and others moving in with me, she does not remember this agreement. She is now seeking the addition support and going back 7 years. will the verbal agreement hold and do i have any recourse if it does not.

To the best of my knowledge, you are likely to lose on this one. You should have spent a few hundred dollars for an attorney and had your agreement approved by the court back at the time that the agreement was entered.. Now you are at risk for thousands of dollars, possibly into the five figures. You should contact a local attorney immediately.
