Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
visitation of biological child
I pay child support on my child who is 13 now. I did not know visitaion was not set up with child support as I was always allowed to see the child untill the childs mother married. I do pay child support and went back to court to get visitation set up and in the middle of that the mother moved the child support to another court in a different town. Now the mother wants medical also and I have still not seen my child. The mother moved and never let me know where and changed her phone numbers also. I now know where she lives since the court hearings but still have not seen my child. We are going to the newer court in July for medical and I would like to know what is my best move without costing me too much since I am trying to live and pay child support. All I want is to see my child and try to regain precious time lost. Please any info would be most helpful. Thank you, Kelly

Re: visitation of biological child
There are a lot of issues here as things are not as cut and dry as they may seem. I wish you had hired an attorney at the beginning as your rights as well as your child's rights would have been protected. You need to see an attorney asap. Ask him or her if there is a chance that you can recover attorneys fees once you explain the facts to counsel. Be sure to have copies of all court documents when you see the attorney. Good luck

You need to have an attorney in your community (or the community where the case is currently pending) handle enforcement of your rights. There is too much to tell you, and not enough time, on an internet bulletin board.
Good luck.
