Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

visitation contempt

My husband has noncustodial visitation of his 4 kids. However the 2 exs change his visitation at their whim. Half the year they have him on noncust visit. then they change to custod. vist. schedule. We heard we could take them to court for contempt, but we've been out of work due to the 9/11 problems and job freezes here. We have 4 other children as well who miss their stepsiblings because the women keep changing the visitation. We only get the kids every other weekend since they live a long way in opposite directions and we are unable to p/u on Weds since we only have 2 hrs w/ them. My question is can we file contempt charges on our own or would this be unwise. We had to take out a loan just to pay for child support. The exs are always threatening to take us back for more child support and we are drained and almost on welfare because of all of this. Pls. help. We can't afford expensive fees again to hire attny just to give all of us a ''normal'' life. This is sooo disruptive to all the kids and the exs are getting away with whatever they want whenever they want. Also, if we have to go to court, can we get the exs to pay for our attny fees?

Re: visitation contempt

Generally, the party who is found in contempt is also ordered to pay the attorney fees of the party who had to pursue the action.

It does sounds as if you have some issues for which the court could find contempt.
