Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
Visitation denial
I live in Indiana and in the past my ex has several times denied me visitation. Last time it was in 2006 and she said that my daughter was old enough to make the choice if she didn't want to visit. We settled in my attorneys office and she admitted fault.
Now she is doing the same thing over again but this time she has taken a different route. She is having my 15 year old deny me. She is telling me she is not denying me yet she had me ordered off of there property by the police when I wanted to just talk to my daughter and ask why. My attorney wants to file contempt charges against my ex for not facilitating visitation and also wants to file for enforcement of the current visitation order. My daughter's reason for not wanting to come was my wife gave her a dirty look. When really its because at mom's she is allowed to do anything but we have boundaries in our home.
I want another attorney's input.
Can my daughter deny me my rights? Can I file contempt charges against ex? Am I wasting my time. I was under the understanding that kids did not have a choice on visitation until they were 18.

Re: Visitation denial
You can seek contempt and you can also request family counseling since it is not normal for a child to decline parenting time.
