Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Visitation

I have been divorced for 14 years and have a 15 year old son. In my last decree it states summer visitation as every other week and during school - every other weekend. We have joint custody. My 15 year old does not want to go to his father's house any more. Is he of the age to make the choice himself as to whether he wants to visit his father or not? or do I have to get approval from the courts? My ex-husband feels that until he is 18 years old my son must visit according to the decree.

Re: Visitation

There is not much of a choice. The courts will want to be sure that the parent - child relationship has every chance. Unless you have evidence of an extraordinary nature to convince a court vistation should cease, it's just not going to happen.
