Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Visitation Schedule

Right now my wife and I share Joint Legal Custody of our 8 year old son. She is the primary physical custodian. Our visitiation schedule is every other night and every other weekend. This back and forth is hard on our son and it is hard on our families, it really allows for no consistency in his life. Each time something happens and I try and discipline our son (for misbehaving/grades/etc.) I constantly get undermined because his mother will not enforce anything at her home. We used to be able to get him to sleep at our house by himself but he will not anymore because his mother lays in bed with him everynight. Is there something we can do, her actions are causing issues at our home and with our family. We have had our attorney request a modification to the visitation schedule but her attorney will not respond to the repeated attempts by our attorney (calls, letters, etc.). Someone suggested a Parent Coordinator. Is there a way the courts would listen to us? His grades have dropped, he is having trouble sleeping, he is beginning to misbehave more frequently and we can't do anything because he knows he can just go home and get out of everything. Please help.

Your attorney knows the facts as well as the judge in yor case. He is in the best position to guide you. Good luck.
