Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Wanting to know what or how it is legal for a Judge to decide or determine what is in the best interests of a child as well pass judgement on such a case with out having the background, nor education? Nor allowing a parent to get and/or have/use every available option in order to show and prove whats in the best interests of a child. As I see it, unless your in a family court and deal with it on a daily basis and keep up with the times with the rest of the world on the changes with children especially in todays modern age then reallyyour clueless.I think any and all hearing dealing with children should be done so with a panel of 3 judges. When making judgements with things that will no doubt affect the rest of a human beings life, there should be more than just one to be made responsible. Why is it the courts are suppose to be fair and equal of all yet even though everyone knows they are not and in most cases woman are getting more and more over men yet nothing is or will be done about it?
