Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

wanting to move

I had moved to this area a year and a half ago with my 8yr. old son. My ex-husband and I have always gotten along and it had worked great for our sons well being. We share custody. Now due to the fact that I am seeking employment out of town and may consider moving to where family, friends and employment would be, my ex has started to pull out the threats.

Lowering his child support, fighting for sole custody, etc. Our divorce papers state that I can move anywhere in Indiana and he can too for that matter. I do not know anyone where we live and feel I need to be elsewhere and am making a good decision..what do you think and what are my options? Can he stop my happiness and still have so much control over my situation?

Re: wanting to move

In order to properly answer this question, the decree and any modifications would have to be reviewed. Nevertheless, if your are talkingn of a move less than 100 miles away, you are probably pretty safe.
